Nine singers managed the early start at The John HarveyTavern. Tina planned the evening around our set list for the Oldland Mill event on 1st May. There were well remembered songs: "On Sussex Hills", "Country Life", "Pleasant and Delightful", "The Nightingale", "Halnaker Mill", "Rosebuds In June" and "The Turtle Dove" which Tina checked and alerted us to forgotten details. We spent a lot of time learning the new "Oldland Mill" by Stuart Leon and "Forlorn Oak", a poem by Ray Pattenden and set to music by Tina. We are also gaining confidence with "When Spring Comes In And The Birds Do Sing", "The Parting Song, Birds on The Spray" and Tina has promised to devise harmonies ready for us to enhance our sound next month. Of course, we finished with "Thousands or More" on the dot of 9pm.
There will also be another Sunday Zoom session with Tina on March 20th at 3.00 p.m
